Anchor Demolition Scarborough · Reviewed
Several empty apartments do not necessarily need the same demolition. Compare each suite's authorised renovation depth before grouping removals into a building programme.
Separate repair, selective renewal and wider change
One suite may need repairs with little demolition. Another may retain its kitchen but replace the bathroom fittings and finishes. A third may have a reviewed layout change involving partitions and more extensive interior removal. A shared building address does not make those packages interchangeable.
| Suite example | Removal decision |
|---|---|
| Kitchen retained | Identify only damaged or obsolete components included in the renovation |
| Bathroom renewed | State fixtures, finish layers and retained enclosure |
| Layout changed | Follow reviewed removal drawings and retained structural/service boundaries |
These are illustrative comparisons, not Anchor projects or a promise of simultaneous crews.
Group similarities without hiding exceptions
Use room types to organise the assessment, then note differences in layers, past alterations and fixtures. A first suite can clarify the preferred description, but it does not establish concealed conditions in every other apartment.
The multi-unit collection guide keeps contents authority separate by suite. The bathroom strip-out guide addresses layers inside one room. This programme-level decision concerns which suites receive which package and in what assessed sequence.
Resolve lawful access before physical work
The owner and advisers establish possession and applicable approvals. Physical vacancy alone is not authority to remove a tenant's property or alter a unit. For the Toronto renovation pathway, review the rental renovation licensing guide with the responsible adviser.
Management and the GC also coordinate shared routes, other residents, building services and receiving trades. Demolition does not set a guaranteed vacancy period or rental outcome.
Request the first defined assessments
Contact Anchor with suite descriptions, the authorised project contact and the next contractors' requirements. Identify which units are ready for assessment and which still have decisions outstanding. Our rental-unit strip-out service provides the removal route, while tenancy, design and new construction remain with their responsible parties.
