When weather changes a removal access plan

What should an owner tell the contractor when the planned route changes before collection or removal?
Tell the contractor what changed along the route or in the material, then confirm the revised arrangement before relying on the earlier plan.
Compare the route with the original information
Photographs taken for an enquiry may no longer show the current entrance, yard or loading point. Tell the project contact about water, snow, ice, newly soft ground or an obstructed doorway before relying on that original description. Do not enter a questionable area merely to obtain another image.
Describe the change rather than prescribing a fix
State where the change is, which part of the route it affects and whether another entrance exists. Let the contractor assess what is workable. An owner should not infer that a surface can support equipment or that clearing a narrow path resolves every access issue. An alternative route may introduce new retained surfaces or permissions.
Disclose changes to the material as well
Tell the contact if loose debris or stored contents have been exposed to weather since assessment. Describe visible changes without guessing the handling implications or moving heavy wet material yourself. The agreed load and route may need review together rather than treating the collection as unchanged.
Confirm the revised arrangement
Record any new access decision, responsibility or booking that results. Timing remains subject to the actual conditions and contractor assessment; this guide makes no seasonal completion promise. For example, an available side gate may cease to be a suitable route while a front entrance is still usable, but the crew must review the longer interior carry before accepting that substitution.
