Anchor Demolition Scarborough · Reviewed
Combining two condo suites can leave useful rooms in both while removing redundant kitchens or selected interiors. The ordinary demolition package follows the authorised combined layout; it does not decide ownership, approval eligibility or the structural connection.
Keep both existing suites on the drawing
Label kitchens, bathrooms, entrances and fixed storage in each suite before marking removals. The proposed home may retain one kitchen, use the other room differently and preserve several bathrooms. Treat those as individual retention decisions rather than gutting one suite by default.
The owner, condominium management and responsible professionals resolve common elements, services and the connecting area. The shared-services guide identifies those coordination questions without promising approval.
Compare the ordinary interior packages
| Area | Question for assessment |
|---|---|
| Redundant kitchen | Which cabinets and finishes leave, and which room boundaries remain? |
| New connection | What work has the professional design authorised? |
| Retained bathrooms | Which fixtures and layers stay outside the demolition? |
| Former separate entrances | What is retained or altered under the project instructions? |
Use the kitchen retention guide for the fixed fittings. Structural or common-element work is not implied by an ordinary interior-removal instruction.
Resolve transitions between the old layouts
Former partition lines and different finishes can leave visible changes at floors and ceilings. The receiving trades determine preparation and reinstatement. Removing a wall finish does not promise one continuous matching floor across the combined home.
An illustrative proposal keeps both suites' bathrooms, removes one kitchen and changes selected cupboards near a reviewed connection. It needs a coordinated two-suite inventory, not a blanket whole-home gut. Management and the GC decide access and the sequence through common routes.
Bring the combined plan to Anchor
Request an assessment with both current plans, the proposed arrangement and the authorised property contact. Anchor's interior demolition service can assess the ordinary removals that fit the project. Professional design, common-element decisions, high-rise logistics and new construction must be resolved for the actual building rather than assumed from this example.
