Anchor Demolition Scarborough · Reviewed
An office move can leave desks ready for collection and rooms that still need demolition. Anchor assesses attached office removals across Scarborough and the GTA, with a separate contents package where authorised loose items also need to leave.
Choose the office package
For a tenant handback, start with the landlord's agreed retained condition. For a new layout, start with the designer's removal plan. These can produce very different work in the same office: taking out a reception counter is not the same as removing the rooms behind it.
| Package | What Anchor assesses | What needs a separate decision |
|---|---|---|
| Contents only | Accepted loose furniture and ordinary debris | Records, IT equipment, leased property and reuse destinations |
| Selected attached removal | Named partitions, doors, counters and finish areas | Connections to retained rooms and building systems |
| Wider strip-out | Defined rooms, ceilings and flooring within an agreed boundary | Structural review, service preparation and the next fit-out |
An office floor can contain all three. Record each room's inclusion instead of ordering a complete gut when some offices remain useful.
Follow the finishes through the room
A partition may meet a retained suspended ceiling, run across different floor finishes or contain services. Identify those interfaces during assessment. Describe which ceiling grid, tiles, wall surfaces and floor layers are included; the word partition does not settle them.
Use the office inventory guide to prepare the room list. For a reusable partition system, review the retain, relocate or demolish decision before assigning disposal. Anchor does not promise intact salvage, IT disconnection or secure record destruction.
Agree what the next contractor receives
State whether finishes remain, which exposed edges need later repairs and who prepares the floor for installation. A cleared office is not automatically ready for new furniture or occupation. Management and the project team resolve access, affected services and approvals for the actual premises.
Our commercial demolition service remains the parent scope for broader building changes. For an office assessment, request an estimate with the floor or unit, room list, retained interiors and landlord or GC contact. Include the intended handback or new layout so the enquiry describes the building work as well as the contents.
